Who we are
A youth-led non-profit working at the grassroots to bridge educational gaps and empower children and young people in Uganda.
Suubi Youth Empowerment Initiative Uganda is a youth-led, non-profit organization (NGO) focused on providing youth and children with access to learning materials and information. We operate at the grassroots level to bridge educational gaps in underserved communities, ensuring that young learners develop essential literacy and digital skills.
We provide reading materials, educational tools, and technology-based training programs to equip young learners with the skills they need to thrive in the modern world.
Our work focuses on empowering children and youth with the skills, opportunities, and support they need to learn, grow, and thrive. When young people have access to literacy, life skills, digital skills, and safe learning spaces, they become confident, capable, and active contributors to their communities.
Our main areas of focus
- 1Improving literacy and learning outcomes for children at the community level
- 2Building digital and 21st-century skills among youth
- 3Creating safe, supportive environments where children can learn without barriers
- 4Strengthening families and communities to support young people’s education and growth
